Clergy or Celebrant
Many religious organisations have very specific rituals surrounding death. They have particular steps that must be taken and rites that must be observed. The funeral director, on your behalf, can contact the local priest, minister or other religious or cultural leader, asking them to officiate at or contribute their knowledge to the funeral service. They will liaise with them regarding their particular requirements.
If your loved one did not follow a particular religion or was not interested in cultural rituals, they may wish to choose to have a celebrant conduct the funeral service. We have a number of celebrants associated with us and can put you in touch with them. You can then discuss with them the type of service you would like.
