McBrides Monumental Masons are specialists in the design, layout and creation of lasting memorials. Produced entirely in Timaru, our monuments are crafted from the finest granite or locally sourced natural rock.

Inside the Waimate funeral Home Chapel.McBrides was established in 1874 by Samuel McBride. The business has played a part in many different historical features in Timaru and the surrounding districts. Projects have included the Centennial Park Gates, Blue Cliffs School and Pioneer Park Gates as well as the Wishing Well built on the Bay Hill in the early 1950s. Many of the RSA memorials were also created and erected by McBrides Monumental Masons.

Our experienced craftsmen will work with you every step of the way to ensure you get exactly what you want. With craftmanship that is second to none and pride in taking exceptional attention to detail, our reputation as Timaru's leading monumental mason is well deserved.

We can provide free computerised layouts with inscriptions, including headings, epitaphs, lettering and fonts and will install anywhere in South Canterbury including Timaru, Temuka, Twizel, Omarama, Fairlie, Pleasant Point, Geraldine, Arundel, Albury, Waimate and Burkes Pass.

Restorations

At McBrides, we offer a full restoration and refurbishment service, re-polishing, waterblasting and re-lettering headstones that have fallen victim to the elements. We also re-align stones that may have shifted over time.
