From the time of the death and leading up to the funeral, many people

Funeral Celebrants & Cultural Awareness
 Our
Funeral Directors are well versed in many different cultural issues and
are sensitive to the special requirements of most cultural groups. We
can tailor a service to fulfill the most stringent cultural and religious
needs.
We can recommend a funeral celebrant or are happy to contact a member
of the clergy to lead the service for you.
Cremations and Burials
We help with all the details regarding the interment whether burial
or cremation. Burials can be arranged in any cemetery, either in existing
graves or by the purchase of new plots.We also attend to all the formalities
for cremation. The cremation usually takes place at the South Canterbury
Crematorium, Salisbury Park, Timaru which is is located approximately
ten minutes drive from the south-west boundary of Timaru city, on Beaconsfield
Road.
Funeral Catering
The facilities at Aoraki Funeral Homel are conveniently located on one
level, which provides easy accessibility to all areas. The building is
also home to a chapel, a spacious and comfortable dining area and a private
family room for family to relax.
We offer a wide range of choices in catering with a variety of menus
to suit every taste. Our dining room is well appointed with modern facilities,
plenty of seating and attractive furnishings. This leads to an extensive
outdoor seating and dining area in a tranquil garden setting. Find out

Room
Our private family room permits family members a personal space to retire
to if they need a little extra.
Casket Display Room
 We
have a wide variety of caskets available to suit every need. Click the

Funeral Flowers
We can arrange flowers for the funeral, on your behalf, from a professional
florist. Families are welcome to use a florist or provide flowers of
their own choice.
 Order
of Service Brochures
Families are encouraged to be involved in the setting out and design
of the personalised service sheets for the funeral. We can produce quality
colour service sheets and photo enlargements.
Video Recordings, CD's & DVD's
We arrange for an audio visual recording of the funeral service. This
will provide you with a permanent record of the funeral service and may
be shared with relatives or friends who were unable to be there on the
day. After the service you can obtain a copy of this recording in digital
format on a CD or DVD.
Vehicles
We provide modern hearses and cars to convey families to funerals can
be arranged.
Car Park
A large Car Park with easy access from Mountainview Road provides parking
for over 100 cars. Immediate family have the convenience of being able
to park at the front of the Chapel and have direct access to the Chapel.
After the Funeral Service - The Ashes
We will discuss the options available for the scattering or burial of
ashes. Attendance at the burial of ashes is welcomed and encouraged.
Assistance is given for the scattering of ashes or returning them to
other centres or overseas. We provide a range of quality wooden and ceramic
urns.

Publishing a photo on this website is a fitting way to remember someone
close to you, who has died.
We can place a photo, along with the funeral notice, the details of the
funeral service, add tributes sent to you or contributed at the funeral
service; and provide information for family and friends wanting to send
flowers or make donations.
Family and friends can read and place messages in a specially designed
tribute book.
