Aoraki Funeral Home (Timaru)is Timaru’s only independently owned and operated Funeral Home, covering a wide area throughout the South Canterbury region. Our modern premises are set in a quiet, tranquil setting with rural outlook from both Chapel and Catering lounge and provides the perfect setting for a restful service. The Chapel can seat more than 250 people and we also have ample parking as well as being able to provide catering, griefcare, repatriation services and monumental services through McBrides who are located on-site. We also offer nationally approved pre-paid and pre-arranged funerals to help save your family extra burden at a time when they are least able to cope. Our Funeral Directors are well versed in the many cultural issues that can occur and are sensitive to the requirements of most cultural groups, and therefore we can tailor a service to fulfill the most stringent of cultural and religious needs. Besides having full funeral service facilities available in Timaru, we also have a Funeral Home and Chapel in Waimate and are willing to travel anywhere else that you may wish to hold a farewell for a loved one.
